Do you offer in-person therapy?
At this time, all sessions are held virtually for clients throughout Colorado. Virtual therapy allows you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space while still receiving compassionate, high-quality care.
Transforming Roots Counseling plans to offer in-person services in the future. However, at this time, all therapy services are fully virtual.
Do you accept insurance?
Transforming Roots Counseling is currently a private pay practice and does not accept insurance directly.
However, upon request, a superbill can be provided for clients who wish to explore possible out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance provider.
We encourage clients to contact their insurance company directly to ask about out-of-network mental health benefits.

Individual Therapy $125
Couples Therapy $150
Family Therapy $150
EMDR Individual Therapy $125
Payment is due at the time of service.
What types of clients do you work with?
We work with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents navigating challenges such as:

At this time, individual therapy services are not offered for children under 12 outside of family therapy sessions.
What is EMDR therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy approach designed to help individuals process and heal from distressing or overwhelming experiences. EMDR supports the brain in reprocessing difficult memories so they no longer feel as emotionally intense or disruptive. Find out more under the EMDR page.
How long are therapy sessions?
Most therapy sessions are 55 minutes unless otherwise discussed during scheduling or treatment planning.
How often will we meet?
Session frequency depends on your needs and goals. Many clients begin with weekly sessions and may transition to bi-weekly sessions as progress is made.
Can faith be incorporated into therapy?
Yes. Faith-based perspectives and Christian principles can be integrated into sessions upon request. Therapy is always tailored to your comfort level, values, and personal goals.
What can I expect during my first session?
Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another while exploring your concerns, goals, and what brings you to therapy. This session also serves as an initial assessment to help determine how we can best work together moving forward.
Our goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and able to begin the deeper work of healing and growth.
Do you offer free consultations?
At this time, Transforming Roots Counseling does not offer free consultations.

How do I schedule an appointment?

What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is important. All sessions are confidential except in situations where disclosure is required by law, such as safety concerns involving harm to yourself or others.
What platform is used for virtual sessions?
Virtual sessions are conducted through a secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to protect your privacy and confidentiality.
